The following is a summary containing some of the highlights that are found in the PDF File below.

This is a look at "The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures" (NWT), which is the Bible version produced by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (Jehovah’s Witnesses).

I will show that the NWT is a biased translation shaped by Watch Tower doctrine rather than by accurate Greek or Hebrew scholarship.

One key point is the Walsh Trial, where Frederick W. Franz, a key figure in the translation committee, admitted under oath to lacking the ability to read or translate Hebrew.

I will show several examples where the NWT alters and adds words to the biblical text—such as translating the same Greek word differently in contexts involving Jesus and God, or inserting words like “a” in John 1:1 and “other” in Colossians 1:16-17—to support Watch Tower theology, particularly regarding the nature of Jesus and the Trinity.

I also compare these passages with other Bible translations and argue that such changes misrepresent the original meaning of the scriptures. The conclusion shows that Watch Tower literature, including the NWT, is untrustworthy due to these doctrinally motivated alterations.
